The occupational pension fund of the heroic Turkish Armed Forces personnel, OYAK, celebrates its 64th anniversary.
On the occasion of OYAK’s foundation anniversary, OYAK General Assembly Members, Board Members, Supervisory Board Members, and the esteemed executives and employees of the General Directorate visited Anıtkabir.
Following the laying of a wreath at Atatürk’s mausoleum and a moment of silence, OYAK Chairman of the Board (Ret.) Major General Mehmet TAŞ wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Memorial Book:
“Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK,
We are honored and proud to be in your presence on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Turkish Armed Forces Assistance and Pension Fund, which enables the heroic members of the Turkish Armed Forces to carry out their duties without concerns for the future, and which embraces unity and solidarity as its core mission.
Since its establishment, the Turkish Armed Forces Assistance and Pension Fund has steadfastly pursued its operations with the aim of securing the lives of its members and contributing to the economic strength of our country.
We respectfully and gratefully bow before you as we reaffirm that the Turkish Armed Forces Assistance and Pension Fund, which was formed through the hard work of Turkish Armed Forces personnel who serve selflessly across our beloved homeland and in various regions of the world, will continue to work tirelessly for the well-being of our members and our country.
May your soul rest in peace.”
Minister of National Defense Yaşar GÜLER conveyed his congratulations in a message sent to OYAK Chairman of the Board (Ret.) Major General Mehmet TAŞ, stating:
“I sincerely congratulate the 64th anniversary of OYAK on behalf of myself and the members of the Ministry of National Defense.
Founded to provide additional social security against the social and physical risks our personnel may face, OYAK has become a source of pride with its high-standard services to its members and significant contributions to our country’s economy since the day it was established.
As emphasized in Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words, ‘The Turkish nation has worn many crowns of victory on battlefields throughout its history. It takes pride in this and always will. However, to keep this crown of pride on the nation's head with even greater glory, we must achieve absolute success in another area, the economy’, a stronger economy is indispensable for us.
With this awareness, I have full confidence that OYAK, carrying out its activities with great diligence, will continue its efforts with increasing momentum in line with our vision for the ‘Century of Türkiye.’

Chief of General Staff General Metin GÜRAK conveyed his congratulations in a message to OYAK Chairman of the Board (Ret.) Major General Mehmet TAŞ, stating:
“I sincerely congratulate the 64th anniversary of OYAK, which has provided valuable services and made great contributions to Turkish Armed Forces personnel since its establishment.
With these thoughts and feelings, I wish health, success, and well-being to you and all the esteemed personnel and employees of OYAK in your efforts to contribute to national development and to secure the future of the Turkish Armed Forces personnel.”
Commander of the Land Forces, General Selçuk BAYRAKTAROĞLU, conveyed his congratulations in a message to OYAK Chairman of the Board (Ret.) Major General Mehmet TAŞ, stating:
