Chief Operating Officer Levent Timur, visited Renault Group’s headquarters in France. The strongest cooperation model in the Turkish automotive industry

Emphasizing that the strategic partnership between OYAK and Renault Group, which has continued for more than half a century, represents the strongest cooperation model in the Turkish automotive industry, OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş said, “This strong partnership also provides a solid foundation for the new steps we will take together.”

Renault Group CEO François Provost underlined the importance of this partnership for Renault Group with the following words: “More than 55 years ago, Renault and OYAK embarked on an industrial cooperation journey that continues to deliver outstanding results. The visit of OYAK CEO Murat Yalçıntaş was a strong reminder of our shared successes and the promising horizon ahead. Together, we have produced more than 8 million vehicles, including over 5 million iconic Clio models. Now, with Clio 6, we are entering a new era. We have produced more than 7.5 million engines and 6 million gearboxes at the Oyak Horse facility. Türkiye has firmly positioned itself as Renault Group’s third-largest market globally. This enduring alliance is a testament to our shared commitment to trust, common goals, and the people who make it a reality.”

Yalçıntaş stated that they will begin the production of new models at their factories in Bursa in 2026, adding that the new Renault Boreal and the sixth generation of Renault Clio will join the New Renault Duster, which started production in 2024. Yalçıntaş stated that the production of the new generation of Renault Duster, a model that has long been highly popular and widely appreciated around the world, in Bursa holds great significance for the Turkish automotive industry and the user base in Türkiye, and continued his words as follows: “Starting from 2026, the Renault Boreal will be produced and exported to more than 50 countries. The fact that Renault Boreal will be manufactured in our country shows that Renault Group places Türkiye at the center of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the high value-added C and D segments. The production of the sixth generation Renault Clio, which has reached more than 16 million users worldwide and over 600,000 in Türkiye since its launch in 1990, at the Oyak Renault Automobile Factories, along with our next-generation hybrid engine, produced at our Oyak Horse plant for Clio and other models, represents a significant strategic value for our country.”

As part of the visit, Yalçıntaş also met with Ivan Segal, Head of Sales and Operations at Renault, to discuss strategic steps aimed at enhancing the sustainability of operations in Türkiye and strengthening market leadership. During the visit, which highlighted the strategic partnership successfully maintained by OYAK and Renault Group in production and sales, it was underlined that this success is built upon mutual trust and strategic alignment.
