Resounding Success For Renault Group Models At Les Trophées De L'argus 2025

22 January 2025

·       Renault Group won five awards at the Trophées de L'argus 2025, rewarding models from each of its brands: Alpine, Dacia, Mobilize and Renault.

·       This unprecedented success, in which all the brands of the same group are rewarded, testifies to the excellence of Renault Group's product offensive. Since 2024, the Group has received more than 150 awards around the world.

·       The Renaulution strategic plan, which was the driving force behind this success, was the catalyst for Renault Group's renewal and transformation, positioning the company as a key player in the mobility of tomorrow.

Renault Group had an exceptional evening on Tuesday, January 21, during the 32nd ceremony of Les Trophées de L'argus. With 5 trophies received, the Group was a hit, each of its brands having been rewarded: Sports Car of the Year for Alpine A290, New Vehicle of the Year for Dacia Bigster, New Mobility for Mobilize Duo, and for Renault, double crowning with Commercial Vehicle of the Year for Master and Car of the Year  for R5.

This consecration of all the brands of the same group is unprecedented but owes nothing to chance. In 2024, more than 150 awards were given to Renault Group's products and services by juries from around the world.

Like the Trophées de L'argus awarded by journalists from various media, but also by automotive professionals and the public, the awards received by Renault Group's brands reward the ambitious product offensive carried out in recent months.

The Renaulution strategic plan laid the foundations for Renault Group's revival and put product back at the heart of the company with 22 launches between 2022 and 2025. Each of its brands, with a clear and differentiated identity, offers attractive models that combine technology and environmental performance as closely as possible with the expectations of their markets.

Spurred on by the media acclaim and the welcome from customers, Renault Group is determined to continue its momentum and even accelerate to meet the major challenges of the automotive sector.

“Seeing our four brands honoured at the prestigious Trophées de L'argus 2025 makes us really very proud. It is the reward for the hard work of our teams and our ambitious product strategy. And this encourages us more than ever to innovate to provide mobility solutions that meet the challenges that lie ahead."

ALPINE A290: Sports Trophy of the Year (prize awarded by the public)

This is a third victory for Alpine, which had already won the Sportswoman of the Year Trophy in 2018 and 2023 with the A110 and A110 R. The A290 is the grand debut of Alpine's 100% electric Dream Garage, combining sportiness with EV technology.

Also voted Car Of The Year 2025 by the European press at the beginning of January, the Alpine A290 revisits and modernises the category of hot hatches, those small sports cars that have marked automotive history with their agility and dynamism. The A290 reintroduces this category in a sporty way, bringing the brand's signature driving pleasure that continues to inspire audiences.

DACIA Bigster : Novelty of the Year Trophy

Bigster wins the Novelty of the Year Trophy, recognition of Dacia's strategy. By offering with Bigster all the essentials expected by customers in the C-SUV segment, the brand continues to stand out with a bold and affordable approach, while offering vehicles that combine modern design, robustness, and technology.

Duster, on the other hand, took 2nd place in the Car of the Year Trophy, after the title of Best Buy Car of Europe 2025 Autobest and its recent 5th place in the Car Of The Year 2025 of the European press, underlining its essential character in the SUV market.

MOBILIZE Duo: New Mobility Trophy

The Mobilize Duo won the New Mobility Trophy at the 2025 L'argus Trophies, standing out among nine two-, three- or four-wheeled candidates. This recognition illustrates the relevance of bold and innovative choices that result in a design that transcends the traditional codes of the automobile. With its compact size, agility, robustness and standard driver's airbag, the Mobilize Duo is perfectly suited to the needs of professionals and individuals. Mobilize Duo represents the future of electric mobility.

RENAULT Master : Commercial Vehicle of the Year trophy

Already crowned International Van Of The Year 2025, the new Renault Master is this time distinguished by the Argus Trophy for Commercial Vehicle of the Year.

The historic leader in the French and European market, the new Master is the perfect illustration of what has been the strength of Renault commercial vehicles for more than 120 years: innovative, disruptive, and multi-energy products designed to be customised almost infinitely to meet the needs of each of our professional customers.

Assembled in France since 1980 and sold in more than 3 million units, its "Aerovan" design and its new multi-energy platform position it as a new market benchmark and offer it the best efficiency in its category, in both combustion and electric versions.

Renault 5 E-Tech electric: Car of the Year Trophy

With local and responsible production in the north of France within the Ampere ElectriCity cluster and its useful technologies, it makes electric mobility desirable.

Also voted Car Of The Year 2025 by the European press (after Scénic E-Tech electric in 2024), R5 has all the assets to become the reference city car for the electric transition. The R5 range will expand in 2025 with new Roland Garros and Five versions, while waiting for the already ionic limited edition R5 Turbo 3E.
