Erdemir, a company of OYAK Mining Metallurgy (OMM), has signed a sales agreement with YDA Group for the supply of steel coils. Under the agreement, Erdemir will act as the steel supplier for a total of 132 kilometers of pipeline between Ankara and the Kesikköprü Dam.
Erdemir also participated in the “Tube & Wire 2026 Fair” held in Düsseldorf, Germany, where it signed this significant collaboration. As one of the key meeting points of the global steel industry, the fair hosted the agreement between Erdemir—Türkiye’s largest integrated steel producer—and Ankara-based YDA Group, known for its expertise in infrastructure projects, for the supply of steel coils.
The agreement was signed by Murat Yalçıntaş, General Manager of OYAK and Chairman of the Board of Erdemir; Serdar Başoğlu, Member of the Board and Executive Director of Erdemir; and Cüneyt Arslan, Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO of YDA Group.
Under the agreement, Erdemir steel will be used in the construction of the “Water Intake Structure, Main Transmission Line, Pump Stations, and Storage Facilities between Kesikköprü Dam and İvedik Drinking Water Treatment Plants,” to be carried out by the Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ).

Commenting on the agreement, Murat Yalçıntaş highlighted the importance of the collaboration for strategic projects in Türkiye:

With climate change and increasing drought risks, water resources are becoming increasingly strategic worldwide. As Erdemir, we are proud to take part in this critical project—covering a 132-kilometer pipeline between Ankara and Kesikköprü Dam—as the domestic steel supplier, as we have done in many major projects across Türkiye.”
A Domestic Supplier with High Value-Added Products
The collaboration aims not only to supply products but also to establish a long-term strategic partnership. High value-added products, particularly those used in water management and infrastructure projects, constitute the core of this cooperation.
The agreement is expected to enable Erdemir to further contribute to infrastructure projects in Türkiye as a domestic supplier, while also supporting regional development.
Erdemir Showcases Its Strength at Tube & Wire 2026
Erdemir, Türkiye’s integrated steel powerhouse, is hosting industry professionals at its 252-square-meter stand (Hall 3, Booth C49) at Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. The company presents its value-added product portfolio and innovative applications to visitors.
At the fair—one of the key global meeting points of the steel industry—Erdemir shares the latest developments in wire production, wire processing materials, wire manufacturing machinery, cable production, cables, spring manufacturing, as well as control systems for cable and pipe production.
The fair will continue until April 17, during which Erdemir will keep welcoming its customers and exploring new collaboration opportunities.
