Miilux OY, the armor steel manufacturer acquired by OYAK in 2019 in line with its goal of strengthening domestic production, participated in the Eurosatory 2024 Exhibition held in Paris, the capital of France, between June 17 and 21.
Miilux OY introduced Protection 560T, the new armor steel in its product range, and Protection 600T, whose features have been improved, as well as its submarine steel solutions, which were added to its product range in 2023, to the visitors at the exhibition.
Miilux OY, Türkiye's first and only domestic armor steel producer, participated in the Eurosatory Exhibition, one of the leading events of the international defense and security sector. Miilux OY brought together its state-of-the-art products with domestic and foreign industry stakeholders at the exhibition, which hosted its visitors in Paris between June 17 and 21, 2024.
Miilux OY, which participated in the Eurosatory 2024 Exhibition in line with its goal of increasing its effectiveness in the global arena, introduced Protection 560T, the new armor steel in the Protection product range, and Protection 600T with improved features. Miilux OY also introduced Protection 360T, which is preferred especially in main battle tank projects, as well as the submarine steel grades that Miilux OY is working hard to add to its product range.
Protection 560T, which is in the group of very high hard steels exhibited by Miilux OY at the exhibition, can be used in armor systems where high hardness and shaping ability of steel are required. Added to the Protection product series and complies with international standards, Protection 560T also contributes to the reduction of weight in new-generation armored vehicle projects. The new armor steel Protection 560T, aimed to meet the needs of many companies in the international defense industry, is expected to attract great interest in the foreign market.
Türkiye in the league of submarine steel-producing countries
Miilux OY, which included Türkiye in the league of submarine steel-producing countries with the submarine steel it exhibited for the first time at the IDEF 2023 Exhibition, attracted great interest from the visitors of the Eurosatory 2024 Exhibition with this product. Submarine steel, which can be produced by very few countries in the world such as Germany, France, the USA, and China, represents a very critical step towards reducing Türkiye's foreign dependence in the defense industry.
