Erdemir collaborates with Ereğli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School

Erdemir, Türkiye's largest flat steel producer and one of the largest employers, has entered into a cooperation protocol with Ereğli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

Erdemir, as Türkiye's largest flat steel producer, is dedicated to creating sustainable value for the country and the regional economy through its investments and employment opportunities. With a focus on shaping the future in alignment with the needs of the Turkish industry and continuously evolving with its human resources, Erdemir has signed a cooperation protocol with Ereğli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to contribute to the training of qualified human resources required by the sector.

The protocol between Erdemir and Ereğli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School was signed on March 12, 2024, at the Karadeniz Ereğli District Governorship by Karadeniz Ereğli District Governor Mehmet Yapıcı and Erdemir General Manager Niyazi Aşkın Peker.

Through this protocol, Erdemir aims to enhance the connection between skilled manpower and production in technical education. Under the scope of the protocol, training sessions and seminars will be conducted for teachers and students, with particular emphasis on the Metallurgical Technology Smelting and Rolling Department, with the objective of ensuring that students acquire the qualifications, skills, and equipment needed by the sector, thus increasing their academic success. Furthermore, support will be extended to the school's workshops and laboratories, along with facilitating its participation in fairs and competitions, all aimed at enhancing the quality of vocational education.
