Erdemir and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University signed a cooperation protocol

Erdemir, the leader in the Turkish steel industry, and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University have signed a cooperation protocol. This collaboration aims to enhance interaction, knowledge, and experience sharing between academics and industry experts, providing an important platform for developing sustainable solutions.

Closely following current developments worldwide and in the industry in line with the principles of continuous progress and sustainable development, Erdemir is working on innovative solutions by integrating academic knowledge with industrial experience. In a significant step towards this goal, Erdemir signed a cooperation protocol with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University (ZBEÜ) on March 20, 2024.

Under the protocol, signed by Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Rector of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, and Niyazi Aşkın Peker, General Manager of Erdemir, at the rectorate building, the parties aim to conduct assessments within the framework of national legislation and international standards concerning occupational health and safety, as well as environmental issues. Additionally, they plan to organize joint scientific research and training programs while enhancing existing working disciplines.  Moreover, the collaboration aims to generate effective and innovative solutions in occupational health and safety and environmental fields, particularly focusing on advanced technology applications such as unmanned systems, digital twins, and artificial intelligence.
