OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies Erdemir, İsdemir, and Erdemir Maden enthusiastically celebrated April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, with the activities they organized.
Erdemir, İsdemir, and Erdemir Maden shared the enthusiasm of April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, with various activities organized for the children of their employees.
Within the scope of the activities at Erdemir, the children's theater, which has been organized since 2009 and has become a tradition, took the stage in Ereğli on April 18-19. The play “Red Shoes”, which opened its curtains at the Erdemir Cultural Center, was performed for five times. The play was watched with interest by approximately 2,000 children, including children of the employees as well as students from primary schools in Ereğli. The activities continued with a visit to the Erdemir Headquarters by children receiving pre-school education at the Erdemir Children's Care Home. The primary school-age children of Erdemir employees were informed about the production processes with the information provided at the Headquarters building and visited the Erdemir fire brigade. Children were also presented with hard hats specially prepared with their names to commemorate the day.
As part of April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, Erdemir Maden organized a tour of the facility for the children of its employees and gave them information about the units where their parents work. After the tour of the facility, the children visited the Headquarters building and were given gifts by the Ermaden management. In a quiz competition organized in the meeting room about the facility, the children elected their new general managers among themselves. The management consisting of children made new decisions on playgrounds and various activities. As part of the April 23rd Children's Day activities, the play “Red Shoes”, staged by Uygur Theater, was performed. The play, which opened its curtains in coordination with the Divriği District Directorate of National Education, was watched by approximately 580 students of primary school age.
At İsdemir, a Children's Festival was organized on April 20-21 in the lodging area. Earthquake victim children in the housing complex area enjoyed games such as live table soccer, inflatable games, and a climbing wall. Face painting, sports activities, tug of war, and sack races also provided children with fun moments. The Children's Festival ended with the children taking to the stage and singing the April 23rd anthems in unison. As part of the April 23rd activities, the play “Red Shoes” was also performed at the İsdemir Headquarters Conference Hall. On April 22, the play opened its curtains three times and met with the students of Demirçelik Kindergarten and Demirçelik Primary School in the lodging area. On April 24, students from Demirçelik Primary School sat in the office of the General Directorate on a representative basis. School administrators, two students from 1st and 4th grades, and their teachers attended the visit.
