Performance Tests for the Alpine A390 Take Place in the Arctic Circle

The Alpine A390, which will be unveiled shortly, is undergoing final testing. Tests conducted under harsh climatic conditions provide the equivalent of five years of accelerated use, making it possible to ensure the A390's excellence in terms of durability and reliability.

In Lapland, Sweden, where the temperature may drop to -40 degrees, Alpine's development teams are carrying out performance verification tests for the A390. Inspections are run through the tests performed on snowy roads or frozen lakes to ensure that the A390 achieves the performance and agility expected from Alpine. These efforts also aim to elevate the renewability and accessibility Alpine’s engineering teams see critical for an electric vehicle to the most advanced level in the A390.

Lapland, an ideal location to test the features such as Alpine’s A390's three-electric motor powertrain, five driving modes including the new “Track Mode”, and Active Torque Vectoring technology, provides real-life conditions for cold testing. The tests carried out here create an opportunity to give the model's future users a real driving experience in challenging circumstances, enhancing all settings and interactions of the various systems to enable the best driving experience.

The Alpine A390: One-of-A-Kind as A True Five-Seater Sports Car

Besides being a sports car and a fully equipped five-seater vehicle, the Alpine A390, the brand's first sport fastback model, will have a unique place in today's automotive world with its exceptional performance and technology.

The Alpine A390 will be manufactured at the brand's historic Dieppe plant, while its engines will be produced at the Renault Factory in Cléon.

Alpine's partnerships for the A390 project also mirror its desire to showcase the French know-how. Devialet will equip the A390 with a premium sound system. On the other hand, in cooperation with Michelin, special A39-branded tires will be supplied for A390's mass production.

The Alpine A390 will be unveiled in Dieppe (France) on May 27, 2025 as part of the brand's 70th anniversary celebrations.
