Başakşehir Mehmetçik No.2 Fuel Station, the first new-generation station converted into TotalEnergies in Turkey, will be operated by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Mehmetçik Foundation.
The TOTAL Stations brand of Güzel Enerji, which serves under the umbrella of OYAK Group Companies, is being transformed into TotalEnergies in parallel with OYAK's global activities, where we will see the new generation of stations and services as a result of the breakthrough and investment decision of OYAK in the energy industry. The first new-generation station transformed into TotalEnergies in Turkey is located in Başakşehir, İstanbul.
Among the fuel stations in Turkey, TotalEnergies Başakşehir Mehmetçik No.2 Fuel Station becomes the first one with the LEED Platinum Certificate, which is an environmentally friendly rating system preferred in 165 countries in the world. In the station, which meets international environmental standards, the use of solar energy as a renewable energy investment stands out. In addition, the station has a steam recycling system, reuse of wastewater, rainwater blending, LCA methodology, and a cyclical life model. The facility, which houses the "OtoJet EV" charging station, will also serve the new-generation electric vehicles. By focusing on energy transformation, it will provide its guests with an innovative and user-friendly market experience while reliably offering a wide range of products and services.
The result of a vision in which each step is carefully planned
Yüksel Yılmaz, Group Chairman of OYAK Energy Sector, said, "At the beginning of 2020, TOTAL Stations and M Oil brands joined OYAK Group Companies. Immediately afterwards, we combined our two brands under the name of Güzel Enerji legal entity by focusing on saving, efficiency, profitability, and rapid growth. As of today, the TOTAL and M Oil dealer network has reached 79 cities from 74 cities in Turkey. And at the end of 2021, the total number of stations of our both brands has risen to 917 stations from 889 stations. In the summer period of 2021, fuel and LPG sales in our stations, which were approximately 196 thousand cubic meters, reached the largest amount of all time; and the highest sales figures of the recent years in terms of sales in comparation with other distribution companies were reached. We have stood out in this area in the last 1.5 years, and we continue to do so. One of the best indicators of this is that our TOTAL İstanbul Airport Station has been selected as the best TOTAL Station in Europe in terms of service, quality, and scale.
We have reached at this point with firm steps and a carefully planned vision for every stage.
