Renault Maintains Market Leadership in the First Quarter

  • MAİS sustained its strong momentum into the first quarter of 2026. Renault maintained its leadership in both the total market and passenger car market with 34,244 units sold and a 12.9% market share in Q1 2026.

Renault Models at the Top

The total automotive market (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) in Türkiye reached 265,398 units in the January–March 2026 period, marking a 3.94% decrease compared to the same period of the previous year.

Renault’s strong product portfolio continued to shape the market in the first quarter of 2026, with two models ranking among the top five best-selling models across the entire market.

Clio became the best-selling model overall with 14,941 units, while Megane ranked as the fourth best-selling model with 7,912 units.

Renault also delivered a strong performance in the SUV segment. Renault Duster ranked as the third best-selling SUV with 5,708 units and secured second place in the C-SUV segment. With 8,626 SUV units sold in the January–March period, Renault positioned itself among the most preferred brands in this segment.

Dacia Becomes Even More Competitive with Its Renewed Product Line-Up

Dacia aims to sustain its growth in the second half of the year through its renewed product range and accessible mobility approach.

The new Dacia Sandero Stepway is offered with an EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission and ECO-G 120 dual-fuel engine. With a range of up to 1,500 km and an approximate cost of TRY 2.5 per kilometer, it delivers up to 30% savings compared to conventional automatic transmission models. Equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, a 10’’ My Dacia connected multimedia screen, and a 7’’ digital instrument cluster, it makes technology accessible. It also offers a spacious interior with up to 1,455 liters of luggage capacity and 186 mm rear legroom, while reinforcing efficiency with 10% lower CO₂ emissions. Its strong and versatile structure stands out in the SUV segment.

The versatile family car Dacia Jogger offers a range of up to 1,400 km and a luggage capacity of up to 2,094 liters. As the only 7-seater model in its segment, it stands out with its practicality. The ECO-G 120 dual-fuel engine is available with both manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options, alongside a 6-speed manual gasoline alternative. It is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, a 10’’ My Dacia connected multimedia screen, and a 7’’ digital instrument cluster. Its modular structure with 2-, 5-, and 7-seat configurations allows it to easily adapt to different needs, continuing to offer an economical and practical solution for families.

With the addition of the new Logan Sedan to its product line in May, Dacia aims to further strengthen its position in the market.

Expanded Product Range and New Models

Renault aims to further strengthen its leadership in the Turkish market in 2026 by enhancing its product range with strategic new models.

Clio, one of Türkiye’s most preferred models in its previous generation, was introduced to customers in February with its 6th generation. Produced at Oyak Renault Automobile Factories and exported to global markets, Clio continues to reinforce its strong position both locally and globally.

The Scenic E-Tech Electric, set to be launched in April, will elevate the brand’s electric mobility vision to the next level. In June, the launch of the locally produced Renault Boreal in Türkiye will redefine the brand’s position in the SUV segment. Manufactured at Oyak Renault Automobile Factories, Boreal will represent not only a key move for the Turkish market but also a significant milestone in global production and export.

Alpine A390, the second model in Alpine’s fully electric Dream Garage series, will also be introduced by MAİS in the second half of 2026. As a new sporty fastback model, A390 will bring the Alpine spirit and experience to a wider audience.
