Renault 5 Turbo 3E, The First Electric "Mini Supercar"

·    The Renault 5 Turbo 3E, the modern and electric version of the Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 models in the 1980s, blends the brand's consistently outstanding innovative, bold, and competitive spirit with Alpine's expertise in developing sporty and exclusive electric models.

·    With a specific platform, powertrain, and aggressive design, it creates a new class of cars: Mini-supercars.

·     The Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be on roads in the first half of 2027. In addition, only 1,980 units will be manufactured, and each one will be specially numbered. 

Superior Performance and Specifications

·    The Renault 5 Turbo 3E has a rear-wheel drive two-motor electric powertrain that produces 540 HP. 

·   While accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, it reaches a top speed of 270 km/h.

·   Very impressive torque with 4,800 Nm

·   Owing to its 800V architecture, its battery can be charged from 15% to 80% in only 15 minutes with 350 kW DC fast-charging support.

·   Its 70-kWh battery offers a range of over 400 km (The WLTP is in the approval phase).

·    With a carbon superstructure, it weighs nearly 1,450 kg.

Its rear-wheel drive architecture, two separate electric motors, improved drift-assist function, and rally-style vertical handbrake transform it into a model offering an exceptional driving experience.

The Alpine engineers, who have specialized in electric sports cars with the A110 E-ternity, A290, and A390, personally followed performance-oriented processes in the Renault 5 Turbo 3E’s production. Renault's innovative, bold, and competitive spirit and Alpine's proficiency in developing sporty and exclusive electric models are combined in the R5 Turbo 3E.

Aerodynamic Efficiency and Enthusiastic Design

The design of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E blends the iconic lines of the original R5 Turbo with contemporary aerodynamic elements.

The air intakes on the hood enhance aerodynamic efficiency. LED light signatures on the front and rear offer a modern interpretation of the classic R5 Turbo.

The extended fenders, large rear spoiler, and sporty diffuser underline the model's aggressive nature. The specially designed 20-inch wheels bring superior handling and performance.

An Interior Equipped with Advanced Technology

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E stands out with a driver-focused, sporty, and connected interior.

The 10.1” digital dashboard and the 10.25” OpenR touchscreen feature navigation, driving modes, and entertainment systems together.

The Google built-in OpenR Link system comes with constantly updated map and link services. Carbon components, high-end Alcantara upholstery, and six-point seat harnesses reveal a sporty approach that fits the racing car spirit.

Four driving modes will be available via the MULTI-SENSE: Snow, Regular, Sport, and Race including the drift-assist function.

Fully Customizable

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E allows all users to mirror their styles with broad customization options.

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be offered with various exterior and interior color alternatives, such as the “Rouge Grenade” color used for the mass-produced models, or the yellow, white, and black racing colors of the rally car “Tour de Corse 1982”, evoking the historic design of the Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2 models.

Also, users will be able to design their own unique Renault 5 Turbo 3Es, from seat upholstery to interior console, with extensive customization possibilities.

Limited Production

The Renault 5 Turbo 3E will be manufactured for only 1,980 units, and each car will be specially numbered as part of this production. The quantity of the units refers to 1980 when the original Renault 5 Turbo was launched.

The model will be sold in key markets such as Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and Australia.
