OYAK Securities signed a memorandum of understanding with the Canadian infrastructure company CLTS Technologies Ltd. (Aquanow) to provide digital asset services to Turkey and neighboring countries. Within the scope of the MoU, two parties will also carry out preparations for the digital asset regulations to be implemented in Turkey.
Increasing and improving its product portfolio day by day, OYAK Securities is taking steps towards digitalization, which has become widespread with the developing technology in the fields of capital markets and financial services. OYAK Securities signed a MoU with the Canadian CLTS Technologies Ltd. (Aquanow) to explore the potential of digital asset services in Turkey and neighboring countries, and to evaluate service collaborations on technology/storage/infrastructure in the field of digital assets and blockchain.
Headquartered in Canada, Aquanow has provided infrastructure and financial services on digital assets to more than 200 corporate customers in more than 20 countries to date. The company provides billions of dollars worth of digital assets services to hundreds of financial institutions, businesses and internet platforms every month.
Within the scope of the MoU signed between OYAK Securities, one of the OYAK Group Companies, and Aquanow in order to contribute to the development of capital markets in Turkey, alternative services including compliance with the legislation, digital asset security, digitalization processes of assets, blockchain-based transactions, storage of digital assets and digital asset investments that can be offered in this field will be evaluated. In addition, in accordance with the MoU, necessary studies will be carried out in order to be ready as quickly as possible for the legal regulations to be implemented in Turkey, and knowledge and experience will be shared mutually.
