Erdemir, which commissioned its rebuilt 2nd Blast Furnace 'Zübeyde' on October 29, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, continued its celebrations with a concert featuring Tuluyhan Uğurlu. The concert featured performances of works such as 'Mustafa Kemal Atatürk,' 'Güneşin Askerleri/Soldiers of the Sun,' and 'Senfoni Türk/Symphony Türk,' accompanied by visual depictions of key moments in the history of the Republic of Türkiye.
Erdemir, one of OYAK's Mining Metallurgy Companies, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Republic with a concert by the renowned pianist and composer Tuluyhan Uğurlu. The concert, in which Uğurlu performed his compositions titled 'Mustafa Kemal Atatürk,' 'Güneşin Askerleri/Soldiers of the Sun,' and 'Senfoni Türk/Symphony Türk,' took place at the Erdemir Cultural Center on October 30, 2013. The concert garnered significant interest from Erdemir employees and was also attended by local dignitaries.
Erdemir, a powerhouse in the Turkish industry, was portrayed during the piano recital with images projected on the stage backdrop. In 1965, Erdemir embarked on its production journey, and its remarkable success story, which propelled it into one of the world's largest iron and steel producers, was showcased on screen alongside historical photographs. A highlight of the concert was the segment featuring images of the new Blast Furnace named 'Zübeyde', a significant addition to the Turkish industry on the occasion of the Republic's 100th anniversary.
The Tuluyhan Uğurlu concert also featured visuals of aviators and railroad heroes from the War of Independence. The footage showcased Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's vision for the economy and industry following the Republic's establishment, including the factories inaugurated by Atatürk, the founding of the first iron and steel factory, and the initial steps taken in heavy industry. The first episode also narrated the 26 new investment projects proposed by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in a meeting with Celal Bayar and Afet İnan, a mere 57 days before his passing.
