Renault Group announced its new corporate strategic plan at the beginning of 2021. Within the scope of Renaulution, Dacia's goal was to be the "leading brand in affordable mobility". Dacia has achieved a series of success stories within the framework of its goals and visions. The brand, which has sold 7.5 million automobiles in 18 years, ranks third in Europe in private customer sales. Bringing a new perspective to the concept of modernity, Dacia presents an automobile vision that is appreciated by users who spend wisely, are fond of freedom, and avoid excessive consumption.

Dacia embarks on a new chapter in its brand history, 20 months after the Renaulution plan presentation. The brand increases its appeal without sacrificing its vision of delivering the best to the customers for what they paid. For this reason, Dacia has taken on a new identity, new logo, new showrooms, modern design, and new colors in recent months.

The brand also reinvents its unique vision for an attractive, robust, affordable, and environmentally efficient automobile with the MANIFESTO concept. The MANIFESTO concept model is a nature-related and environmentally friendly vehicle that implements innovative solutions to be used in future models of Dacia.

The MANIFESTO concept will not be a new model for the future, but it will further advance the values and qualities that make up the brand's success.

Stating that Dacia offers original, durable, multi-purpose, and environmentally friendly vehicles that are compatible with the lifestyles of its customers, MAİS A.Ş. General Manager Berk Çağdaş said, "Dacia constantly updates the features that really need to be in an automobile with developing technology, and it meets the needs of its customers as a price-performance brand that offers smart solutions. The renewed product range and the MANIFESTO concept automobile are an indication of Dacia's adventurous spirit, with its new brand identity.

As of the end of August 2022, Dacia Turkey ranks as the seventh brand with 5.2 percent market share and 23,861 sales, the sixth in the passenger car market, and the second most sold brand among imported brands. Duster, on the other hand, is the leader of the SUV market with 16,936 sales in the same period and is the best-selling imported model. Duster, which has changed the balance in the SUV segment since its introduction, has also dominated the 4x4 segment with its continuous leadership for the last decade. As of the end of August 2022, Turkey is the fourth country in the world to sell the most Duster with 169,000 units.

All this data reveals how much Dacia has been appreciated by the Turkish consumer. The Dacia brand, which has renewed itself by not sacrificing its fundamental philosophy, will continue its way with firm steps. Our goal in 2023 is to reach a total of half a million sales in the Turkish market that we entered in 2004."

Essential but cool

For the past 18 years, Dacia has been offering customers core values and proves that they are sufficient.

Dacia is also a smart, creative, and attractive brand. Naturally, this is reflected in its products. Innovative and practical solutions such as the infotainment control or the optional modular roof rack which replaces the traditional version, reveal this. Dacia, which also applies that to the design, offers a great look with affordable budgets.

Robust and built for outdoor adventure

Reliability and robustness are two key elements that support Dacia's success. Customer loyalty is the best indicator of that. In France, Dacia users drive their vehicles for an average of 8 years. Sixty percent replace their Dacia with another Dacia. Another example is Dacia's guarantee of the best value for money.

With its reliability and robustness, Dacia makes its cars the ideal companion for outdoor activities and professional work that its ever-increasing customers enjoy in their leisure time.

Soon, Dacia will take one step further in line with this market trend, strengthening its range of models specifically designed for off-road driving. The brand will continue to offer four-wheel drive s and equipment designed for outdoor events, including a kit that sets up a double bed without encumbering the booth space with Jogger in 2023. Moreover, a family of four will be able to attach a tent to the passenger compartment to expand their living space.

Eco-Smart: Economical and Ecological

Instead of developing new ones, Dacia uses tried and tested technologies that enable customers to save money. The CMF-B platform is an example of this. In addition, not adding more technology or cosmetic features to the vehicle than needed saves weight. This also saves fuel. Fuel savings also benefit users' budgets and the environment. Jogger, for example, weighs 300 kg lighter than its 7-seater rivals.

Intensive use of recycled materials is another priority for Dacia. Twelve percent of the plastic used in Duster is recycled. This is much more than the average of new automobiles on the European market. Here again, Dacia combines the interests of customers with environmental sensitivity.

Dacia aims to go further and use more recycled plastic in its models. The goal is for the new generation of Duster to have a recycled plastic ratio of 20%. In addition to the current heavily applied secluded parts, it will also use recycled plastic in more rarely applied body parts. Dacia started this with the protective plate under Sandero Stepway's front bumper. The engineers of the brand will take this to the next level by fine-tuning the material. The recycled ingredient called Starkle® stands out as eco-friendly, while offering both robustness and elegance.

An effortless customer experience

The new chapter in Dacia’s history includes a change of step in the brand’s interactions with customers, to provide them an even more seamless, enjoyable, and on-brand experience.

The brand's renewal process has already begun to spread to Dacia dealers. The new showrooms stand out as ultra-flexible, environmentally friendly, purpose and reasonable-price oriented. To achieve this, Dacia combines physical and virtual experiences, using augmented reality, especially on smartphones.

Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, said: "Year after year, Dacia attracts new customers. These new customers aim for a responsible society and a new perspective on automobiles. Dacia models stand out to our customers because they are full of content, comfortable, visually attractive, and by far the most affordable. When purchasing a Dacia, they can have exactly what they need, as well as an attractive design, at no additional cost."

"MANIFESTO" reveals Dacia's vision

The Manifesto concept vehicle redefines the needs to provide a more plain and realistic experience than ever before. No filters between passengers and the environment, no doors, no windows, no windshields. It is completely surrounded by nature. While enjoying outdoor activities, it also offers a convenient workspace that serves different purposes instead of a boot lid.

Passengers can be close to nature and also stay connected with the services offered on their smartphones.

Dacia's simple, effective, and economical "Bring Your Own Device" approach makes it possible to fully integrate a smartphone into the dashboard and on-board computer. This is present in many models of the brand and will be further developed in the future.

MANIFESTO is also the pioneer of another innovative solution to be added to future models. Convenient and modular accessories such as YouClip, which serves many purposes such as cup holders and hangers, takes attention in the concept vehicle.

In Dacia, the cool usually overlaps with the handy. The single headlight of the concept vehicle can be removed for use as a powerful flashlight.

Manifesto is pushing the boundaries even further by making a car as a vehicle that connects people and nature. It has all terrain features, including 4-wheel drive, a high-level construction, large wheels, and a body built to withstand the toughest terrain. The vehicle is waterproof. The interior space be cleaned with a water jet. Removable seat covers become sleeping bags in seconds. Since the carrier bars can be adjusted to suit different uses, the roof rack can carry all kinds of loads.

An exclusive and removable battery provides power to different devices through a domestic-type socket. This transforms MANIFESTO into an energy source that meets the requirements of any outdoor event.

The brand offers a vehicle vision with minimal environmental footprint with MANIFESTO. It is compact and lightweight, so it consumes less energy. The main plastic body parts of the MANIFESTO concept vehicle contain a significant amount of recycled material. The material called Starkle® is made from pre-processed polypropylene with a spot effect.

The interior is equipped with natural materials such as mushrooms that cover the dashboard. There is also no decorative chrome plating, as in the current Dacia models.

Since it is aimed to be environmentally friendly as well as economical, the airless tire in the MANIFESTO concept vehicle draws attention as another innovative feature. While durability is considered as the basic principle here, the service life of unperforated tires is prolonged.

David Durand, Design Manager at Dacia, said: "We develop and explore new ideas in Dacia. We felt we needed to go beyond three-dimensional simulations and see what they looked like in real life! Our MANIFESTO concept vehicle demonstrates our brand's vision and combines various innovations. While some of these are challenging to implement, they are still cost-effective for customers. We will use some of them in future Dacia models."

Dacia Product Performance Manager Lionel Jaillet stated that they want to create a product range that strengthens the brand promise, focuses on the basic elements, and adapts the vehicles to outdoor activities. Mr. Jaillet said, "Beyond our models, we are also working on innovative solutions that meet and support our customers' needs and lifestyles. the MANIFESTO is a laboratory for testing and implementing innovative ideas. The version you can see today will continue to evolve as we continue to explore. Our future models will be smarter than ever, more open-minded than ever, and more Dacia than ever."
