In 2023, world crude steel production was 1.8 billion tons. Türkiye's crude steel production was realized at 33.7 million tons.
In 2023, OYAK Mining Metallurgy Companies produced 7.2 million tons of crude steel.
Their liquid steel production was 7,333 thousand tons, while flat finished product production was 6,704 thousand tons and long finished product production was 652 thousand tons.
Iron and magnesite production was 2,236 thousand tons. Mining Metallurgy Companies exported a total of 802 thousand tons of finished products, comprising 753 thousand tons of flat products and 49 thousand tons of long products. This amount constituted 11% of total sales. Flat products were exported to 33 countries and long products to nine countries.
