Operating across all seven geographical regions of Türkiye, OYAK Cement Concrete Paper comprises one publicly listed cement company (OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş.), one paper-packaging company, and one energy company.
With its clinker production, cement grinding capacity, and market share, OYAK Cement continued to be the largest player in Türkiye’s cement industry in 2024. Five publicly listed cement companies within OYAK Cement Concrete Paper—Adana Çimento, Bolu Çimento, Ünye Çimento, Aslan Çimento, and Mardin Çimento—were merged under Mardin Çimento Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. on May 15, 2020 to ensure more efficient management, establish a strong financial, administrative, and legal structure, and strengthen production and distribution activities. Following the merger, the company’s name was changed to OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş.
On December 31, 2020, OYAK Beton Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a wholly owned subsidiary, was merged into OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. through a simplified procedure.
The merger of OYAK Çimento A.Ş. and Denizli Çimento Sanayii T.A.Ş. under OYAK Çimento A.Ş. was registered on June 19, 2023. After the merger, the company continued operations under the name OYAK Denizli Çimento A.Ş.
In line with its strategic objectives in the cement sector, it was decided to consolidate OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. and OYAK Denizli Çimento A.Ş. under a single entity. The transfer of OYAK Denizli Çimento A.Ş. to OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. was approved by the Capital Markets Board on November 22, 2023, and the merger was registered on December 28, 2023. OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. is traded on Borsa İstanbul under the ticker "OYAKC".
As part of its international operations, OYAK Cement Concrete Paper, 60% indirectly owned by OYAK, completed the sale of all shares in Cimpor Portugal Holdings to TCC, along with the transfer of 20% of the shares in OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş., 24.19% of which is publicly listed, to TCC on March 6, 2024. Following this transaction, OYAK’s indirect ownership in OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. decreased to 30.324%.
Subsequently, a mandatory tender offer arising from this transaction was fulfilled by TCC OYAK Amsterdam Holdings B.V. between July 16–29, 2024. As a result, TCC OYAK Amsterdam Holdings B.V.’s stake in OYAK Çimento Fabrikaları A.Ş. increased from 75.81% to 80.05%, and OYAK’s indirect stake rose to 32.02%.
