The New Renault Clio: The New Era of the Iconic Model Kicks Off

Having reached more than 17 million users worldwide and over 600,000 users in Türkiye since its launch in 1990, Clio has become one of the most dominant players in the hatchback segment. Following the world premiere of the next-generation Clio at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, the countdown to hitting the road in Türkiye commenced.

Clio has been sold in 120 countries during its 35-year journey and has become one of Renault's best-selling models in Türkiye and Europe. Having been honored as European Car of the Year five times, Clio has always been the benchmark in the compact class. The new Clio aims to offer its users an exceptional experience both in the city and on long journeys, sustaining this strong heritage.

Dr. Berk Çağdaş, General Manager of MAİS A.Ş., said, "Clio, one of Renault's most popular models, remains the priority choice for users as the undisputed leader of its segment in Türkiye. The success of over 600,000 Clios sold in Türkiye is the result of the superior production capacity of Oyak Renault Automobile Factories in Bursa and the sturdy industrial ecosystem established with domestic suppliers. Through the new-generation Clio, we are once again raising the bar in both design and technology. The new version offers a unique experience in the compact hatchback segment in Türkiye. The fact that it is produced in Bursa illustrates both the importance we attach to domestic production and Türkiye's key role in the global production chain. We believe that the new Clio, like its predecessors, will grab great attention from Turkish users and will further boost sales success.”

Lionel Jaillet, CEO of Renault Group Türkiye, stated: “We are delighted to unveil the 6th generation of Clio, one of the most iconic models of our Renault brand. To date, we have produced over 5 million vehicles from the Clio family at the Oyak Renault Factory, one of the most efficient manufacturing centers of the Renault Group. We will start the production of the completely renewed Clio in September. As a highly innovative and high-tech model with a wide range of engine options, OpenR Link multimedia system, and Google integration, it fully satisfies the expectations of our Turkish customers.

We previously announced that four new models will be manufactured at the Oyak Renault Bursa factory by 2027. To date, we have introduced Duster, Boreal, and Clio models to our customers. We continue our preparations for the last model and work on our long-term strategy. Among the five main hubs of the Renault Group's global strategy, Türkiye represents one of the pillars of this vision. Together with our strong partner OYAK, we will continue to support Turkey's automotive ecosystem by strengthening our local teams and launching new projects.”

Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault, noted: “We have always seen Clio as a cultural icon and a significant component of Renault's identity. When you say Clio, Renault comes to your mind, and when you say Renault, Clio comes to your mind. Clio, which has sold nearly 17 million units, is our best-selling product. Clio redefines the standards of its class in every successive generation. We enhanced the same approach in this sixth generation, further advancing the design, engine options, and features, including Google integration. The new Clio is the pinnacle of excellence level of our hybrid product line, which complements our all-electric models.”

Türkiye's Favorite Model Continues to Hit the Roads from Bursa

The fact that the New Clio is manufactured at Oyak Renault Automobile Factories in Bursa unveils a great strategic value for Türkiye. Established in 1971, Oyak Renault Automobile Factories in Bursa is one of the largest manufacturing facilities of the Renault Group worldwide. The plant, renowned for its exceptional quality standards, has produced over 5 million Renault Clios so far.  The new Clio represents the next step for this historic factory with deep local roots. More than half of the factory’s procurement comes from 90 local suppliers.

The industrial complex also includes a development center called “Renault Technology Türkiye”, which manages the entire development process of the new Clio. Additionally, the Refactory facility, which was opened at the factory in July 2023, operates in car rejuvenation.

The industrial ecosystem in Bursa is a perfect example of the Renault Group's robust industrial presence. It responds to the demands of the local market while also assuming a key role in exports to the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Charming and Dynamic Design

The new Clio mirrors Renault's novel design language with its sleek and elegant lines. Together with large air intakes and the brand's diamond logo, the slim front LED headlights enable a stronger appearance. The redesigned taillights and chrome details at the rear bring a sporty look. The Esprit Alpine trim level further reinforces the dynamic spirit, elevating Clio to a unique stage in its class.

The new Clio has a length of 4.11 meters, a width of 1.76 meters, and a height of 1.45 meters. It provides an ample living space for both front and rear seat passengers thanks to its 2.59-meter wheelbase. The boot volume is 391 liters in the standard versions, while hybrid models have a boot volume of 301 liters.

Clio's interior has been renovated with higher-quality materials and ergonomic features. New upholstery options and the recycled materials combine both elegance and sustainability.

Renault is further strengthening its sustainability vision with the new Clio. Recycled fabrics used in the interior, environmentally friendly production processes, and low emissions transform Clio into an urban car of the future.

Advanced Technology, Digital Experience

The new Clio offers its users the most up-to-date digital experience. The vehicle's up to 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia display, OpenR Link system integrated with Google, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support keep the driver connected every time. The fully digital 10.1-inch dashboard provides customized driving data. These technologies enable Clio to step forward in the hatchback class.

Greener with Hybrid Power

The new Clio comes with Renault's full hybrid E-Tech 160 hp engine. Clio, which allows up to 80% electric driving in urban areas thanks to the effective operation of the electric and gasoline engine, provides fuel savings of up to 40%. Also, an average consumption of just 3.9 liters per 100 km makes both economically and environmentally friendly driving possible.

The new Clio meets the needs of users with various engine options. The Full-Hybrid E-Tech 160 hp version and the 1.2 TCe 115 hp version optimize performance with a 6-speed EDC automatic transmission while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption.

The full-hybrid E-Tech engine reaches from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. While the announced maximum speed is 170 km/h, the average fuel consumption corresponds to the value of 3.9 lt/100 km. CO₂ emission value are below 89 g/km. This data makes Clio one of the most efficient models in its class. The 1.2 TCe 115 hp engine reaches from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.1 seconds. While the announced maximum speed for this version is 170 km/h, the average fuel consumption corresponds to the value of 5.1 lt/100 km.

Product Range and Trim Levels

The aerodynamically optimized product range of the new Renault Clio offers two trim options. Even the entry trim level includes comprehensive features. The Evolution trim level provides functional and economical solutions, while the Esprit Alpine level is attention-grabbing due to blue-highlighted 18-inch alloy wheels, featured for the first time in Clio. Sporty seat upholstery, two-tone stitching details, and special logos also take Clio's dynamism to the top. Thus, users can choose a trim level that suits their style both in the city and on long journeys.

New Standard in Safety

The new Clio maximizes safety with up to 29 active driver assistance systems. Advanced technologies such as adaptive cruise control, active lane keeping system, blind spot warning, and 360-degree camera offer full support to drivers on both urban and long trips.
