The 4th Member Meeting was held in Istanbul
15 Haziran 2026
The "Member Meetings" event, organized by OYAK to provide general information to its members and bring them together with OYAK management, was held in Istanbul. Yalçıntaş stated that investments are necessary for higher returns.
The Turkish Army Mutual Aid Association (OYAK) continues its "Member Meetings" periodically. At the meeting, hosted by OYAK Mining Metallurgy (OMM), OYAK's 2030 vision and sustainable growth approach were shared.
The meeting, which began with an opening speech by OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş, continued with a question-and-answer session following the informative presentations. Retired members had the opportunity to convey their views, suggestions, and evaluations to the senior management. Yalçıntaş and the deputy general managers answered questions regarding the return calculation method, investment policies, company activities, basic financial indicators, social rights, and services offered to members.
In the meeting, which was held in line with the principles of transparency and accountability, the importance of feedback from retired members for corporate processes was emphasized. Members also expressed their satisfaction with being able to communicate directly with the OYAK General Manager.
“OYAK must invest for higher returns”
OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş stated that since taking office, he has placed great importance on transparent, open, and continuous communication with members and all stakeholders, and that this forms the basis of their management approach. Emphasizing that their main goal is to create a sustainable and strong structure that can protect the real value of members' savings, Yalçıntaş noted:
“We know that our members' main question is not ‘What is the nominal rate?’ but ‘Has the purchasing power of my savings been protected and increased?’ In the coming period, we will take concrete steps in capital efficiency, new investment areas, financial discipline, subsidiary performance, and sustainable growth. We aim to demonstrate the results of this transformation not with short-term temporary solutions, but with permanent performance improvements. Therefore, OYAK must invest and increase its profitability for higher return rates.”
During the meeting, which lasted approximately 5 hours, the importance of direct communication with retired and active members was emphasized, and it was stated that OYAK Member Meetings will continue regularly in the coming period.
