Having reached a handling volume of 428,119 vehicles last year, Port Yarımca has gone beyond the traditional port concept with its integrated service structure offered in a 235,000 square meter area.

Established in 2018 in the Kocaeli Gulf through a partnership between OYAK and the Japanese Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) group, Port Yarımca is increasing its activities every year as the foreign trade gateway for international automobile brands. The port operates on a Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) concept.

In 2025, Port Yarımca broke a record by reaching its highest annual ship call and handling volume since its establishment.

As Türkiye's only specialized Ro-Ro port, Port Yarımca maintains its sector leadership with an annual capacity of 780,000 vehicles, and last year it alone accounted for 20% of Türkiye's total Ro-Ro volume, reaching a handling volume of 428,119 vehicles.

With a total storage area of 20,000 vehicles, including the highest capacity multi-story parking lot among Turkish ports, Port Yarımca has created a significant difference in the sector by enabling it to manage large scale operations simultaneously, safely, and flexibly. Port Yarımca has gone beyond the classic port concept with its integrated service structure offered in an area of 235,000 square meters.

553.3 million metric tons of cargo handled in 2025

According to data from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the total tonnage handled in Türkiye in 2025 reached 553.3 million metric tons, representing a 4% increase compared to the previous year. In the container market, the volume handled in the same year increased by 3.3% compared to 2024, reaching 13.99 million TEU.
