On 21 September 2025, at its stand at TEKNOFEST—the world’s largest Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival—OYAK, participating for the first time alongside Erdemir, Hektaş, Miilux OY, OYAK HORSE, and OYAK PORTFÖY, welcomed the Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler. The visit was hosted by OYAK Chairman of the Board of Directors Zekai Aksakallı and OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş, during which detailed information was provided on the work of OYAK’s companies.
During the visit, Minister Yaşar Güler examined Erdemir’s unmanned crane application project and sustainable production solutions aligned with the Net Zero roadmap. He also gained insights into Hektaş’s vertical farming systems enabling space agriculture, sensor‑based irrigation solutions, and remote insect monitoring technologies. Miilux OY’s armor and submarine steel solutions as well as OYAK HORSE’s HR18 engine developed for hybrid vehicles were among the highlights.
Minister Güler commented: “We want OYAK to continue contributing to our country’s economy and industry.
These contributions should be very positive. For example, the engine produced by OYAK HORSE is a significant investment. It will have serious benefits for the national economy. We keep producing.” He also said: “We use the armor steel produced by Miilux OY in our ships and submarines. We expect that this armor steel will also be used in the Altay tank. OYAK is such a large organisation that its contributions to our country should also be of that magnitude. Being national, having a national industry is very important. Turkey has passed those stages; now we need new expressions to not only make a ‘national technology move’ but to talk about what we have done.”
To commemorate the visit, OYAK presented a gift to Minister Yaşar Güler.
