OMSAN Logistics strengthens its European network with Almatis
18 Ağustos 2026

Continuing its steady growth in Europe, OMSAN Logistics has launched the transport of specialty alumina from the Netherlands and Germany to 12 European countries as part of a new collaboration with Almatis. Approximately 600 shipments will be carried out annually under this operation.
Expanding its European operations through new clients and strong partnerships, OMSAN Logistics continues to grow its international logistics network.
Through its collaboration with Almatis a leading global producer of specialty alumina OMSAN has undertaken a new distribution operation in Europe.
OMSAN will transport specialty alumina from Almatis’s production facilities in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Ludwigshafen (Germany) to delivery points across 12 different European countries.
The project, secured following a tender process, entails approximately 600 shipments per year.
For each shipment, an average of 25 tons of specialty alumina will be delivered to customers safely, on time, and in accordance with high service standards, leveraging OMSAN’s international operational expertise.
“We are sustaining our growth in Europe through strong business partnerships”
Dr. Diğdem Liga, CCO and Group Director of Automotive and International Offices at OMSAN Logistics, stated that this collaboration is a key component of OMSAN’s growth objectives in Europe.
Dr. Diğdem Liga said:
“We do not view our growth in Europe merely as an operation network expanding geographically. We are building a business model that accurately analyzes our customers' business processes, develops solutions tailored to their specific needs, and creates sustainable value. This operation, initiated with Almatis, serves as a significant indicator of the trust placed in our international transport capabilities and our customer-centric service approach.”
Noting that the operation—spanning 12 European countries and starting from Rotterdam and Ludwigshafen—requires robust planning and coordination, Dr. Diğdem Liga continued:
“Thanks to our operational capabilities across various locations in Europe, our experienced teams, and our strong supply network, we are able to offer end-to-end services to our customers. We do not view each new project simply as a transportation operation; rather, we regard it as a long-term partnership based on trust that accompanies our customers on their growth journey.”
“OMSAN’s operational strength is a key factor in the our choice”
Christian Ammermann, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Almatis, stated that the collaboration with OMSAN would contribute to the efficiency of their distribution operations in Europe.
In his remarks, Ammermann said:
“Delivering our products to customers across various European countries safely, on time, and with high service standards is of great importance to our operations. OMSAN’s international transport experience, strong European network, operational flexibility, and solution-oriented approach were key factors in our decision to partner with them.”
Noting that they aim for this operation to mark the beginning of a strong, long-term partnership, Ammermann added, “We believe that our collaboration with OMSAN will enhance the efficiency of our distribution processes and further strengthen the quality of service we provide to our customers.”
This new partnership supports OMSAN’s goal of delivering reliable, integrated, and sustainable logistics solutions to customers operating in various sectors both in Türkiye and across Europe.
OMSAN Logistics continues to expand its presence in Europe, driven by a robust cross-border operational network, service models tailored to specific customer needs, and a commitment to high-quality standards.
