Commenting on the collaboration with Koluman, OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş stated that they consider the development of domestic and national capabilities in the defense industry a strategic priority.

Miilux OY, Türkiye's domestic and national armor steel producer, and Koluman, which operates in motor vehicles, engineering, superstructure production, and military projects, signed a Technical Cooperation Protocol for the defense industry at SAHA Expo 2026.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Miilux OY General Manager Yavuz Yeldan and Koluman Otomotiv General Manager Cengiz Adak.

The collaboration, formalized with a signing ceremony on Wednesday, May 6th, aims to create a long-term and sustainable industrial partnership by combining the parties' expertise in engineering, production, and materials technologies.

The signing ceremony was attended by OYAK Chairman of the Board Zekai Aksakallı, OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş, Miilux OY Chairman of the Board Erdinç Kocayanak, and Koluman Holding Chairman of the Board Selçuk Kaan Saltık Adak.

Cooperation in armored platform projects

The signed protocol covers the development of armor steel solutions providing high ballistic protection in projects for armored land platforms, sharing engineering capabilities, and increasing technical cooperation in production processes.

By combining Miilux OY's production and material technologies in the field of armor steel with Koluman's armored vehicle development and system integration capabilities, the aim is to strengthen cooperation in technical compatibility and product development processes in the projects.

OYAK General Manager Murat Yalçıntaş, in his speech at the signing ceremony, said, “We see the development of domestic and national capabilities in the defense industry as a strategic priority. In this context, we hope that the technical cooperation signed between Miilux OY and Koluman will transform into a lasting and sustainable industrial partnership in terms of existing projects as well as future defense programs.”

Yalçıntaş stated that this collaboration will further strengthen production and technology development capacities through the integration of complementary engineering and technology capabilities, adding, “It will take the value chain of the domestic defense industry ecosystem to a higher level. As OYAK, we continue to develop our role in the defense industry with a long-term perspective based on production capacity, technology development power, and strategic partnerships.”

Miilux OY introduced next generation armor steels

Meanwhile, Miilux OY welcomed visitors at stand 7C-04a in Hall 7 at SAHA Expo 2026, held at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) between May 5-9.

Miilux OY, a producer of heat treated high strength steels of strategic importance for Türkiye, introduced its next generation armor steels and advanced technology products developed under the Miilux Protection brand at the fair.
