Meaningful contribution from Erdemir to a project connecting families of martyrs and veterans with art

An exhibition featuring works created under the "Encouragement of Art and Living with Art Program"—supported by Erdemir in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services' General Directorate of Services for Families of Martyrs and Veterans—met visitors at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) on the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Launched as a pilot project, the program has reached over 700 participants across 68 provinces with Erdemir's contributions, helping families of martyrs and veteransengage in social life through art.
Realized within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed in January between Erdemir, Türkiye’s integrated flat steel producer and the Ministry of Family and Social Services' General Directorate of Services for Families of Martyrs and Veterans, the "Encouragement of Art and Living with Art Program" aims to empower families of martyrs and veterans in social life through the healing power of art.
Under the program, Erdemir supplies all the art materials required for the courses, thereby contributing to the initiative's nationwide expansion.
The "Ours is the Will, Ours is the Victory: Encouragement of Art and Living with art exhibition, comprising works created by families of martyrs, veterans, and their relativeswas presented to the public at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for the first time.
Erdemir Board Members and Executive Directors İsmail Doğan and Tolga Saygun attended the exhibition's opening ceremony to represent the company.
A program touching lives through the healing power of art
The "Program for Encouraging Art and Living with Art" open to the spouses, parents, and children -aged 15 and older- of martyrs and veterans, as well as the veterans themselves, aims to support participants' emotional well-being, strengthen their participation in social life, and foster social solidarity by harnessing the healing power of art under the coordination of psychologists.
Within the scope of the program, training sessions were conducted in over 20 different artistic disciplines, including painting, ceramics, marbling (ebru), tile art (çini), calligraphy, illumination (tezhip), string art (filografi), woodworking, music, theater, and traditional handicrafts. In addition to free art training, participants benefited from psychological counseling and the provision of necessary art supplies.
The "Encouragement of Art and Living with Art" exhibition, which opened to visitors at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, will continue to be presented to art lovers in various cities and locations across the country in the coming period.
