COP31 chooses OMSAN for logistics services

OMSAN Logistics will undertake the international transport operations and all logistics processes within the one million square meter event venue for COP31.
OMSAN Logistics has been selected to handle the logistics operations for the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be hosted by Türkiye in Antalya.
The company will manage all transport operations within the one million square meter event area, in addition to handling the international transport of materials and equipment being brought to Türkiye from abroad for the conference.
Undertaking this comprehensive role in the logistics processes of COP31 one of the world's most significant international eventsdemonstrates OMSAN Logistics' operational competence and its ability to manage logistics for large scale events.
The Global Climate Agenda Convenes in Antalya
The 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will take place in Antalya from November 9 to 20, 2026.
Bringing together countries from across the globe alongside UN agencies, intergovernmental organizations, civil society groups, and private sector representatives, the conference will be a pivotal gathering for global climate diplomacy.
COP31 will see the participation of state and government representatives, ministers, heads of delegations, and international stakeholders, who will address critical topics such as global climate action, climate finance, climate change adaptation, a just transition, and pre-2030 climate goals.
Demiralp and Tansık discuss COP31 preparations
Ahmet Tansık, General Manager of OMSAN Logistics, met with Burak Demiralp, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, in Antalya to discuss preparations for COP31.
The meeting focused on the conference's preparatory process and the logistics operations to be undertaken by OMSAN Logistics.
Demiralp who is responsible for the operational and logistical aspects of COP31, including venue management and Tansık discussed the international significance of the event, the critical role of logistics, and the future of sustainable transportation.
Tansık: “This assignment is a great honor for us”
OMSAN Logistics General Manager Ahmet Tansık viewed the selection of OMSAN Logistics for COP31 as a significant indicator of the confidence placed in the company’s operational strength and its upward trajectory of success.
In his assessment of the matter, Tansık stated the following:
“COP31 is a vitally important gathering, not only for Türkiye but also for the future of the world. Undertaking the international transport and the logistics operations within the massive event venue for such a major event is both a great honor and a significant responsibility for us. For COP31 where the future of the world will be discussed we will manage a vast logistics operation that spans from various corners of the globe to Antalya and continues within the event site itself. We are proud to contribute our logistics capabilities to this global event hosted by Türkiye.
The responsibilities OMSAN Logistics will undertake for COP31 will not be limited to international transport alone. OMSAN will handle the transport of materials and equipment brought from abroad for the conference into Türkiye.
Furthermore, we will manage all transport operations across the one million square meter event venue. In doing so, we will assume responsibility for an extensive operational chain, ranging from international transport to the logistics activities within the event site.”
