Renault Rafale, Renault's brand-new model in the high-end SUV Coupe segment, entered the Turkish market with the launch carried out on a route starting from Selçuk, İzmir, and extending to Bodrum, Muğla.
The new Renault Rafale, named after Renault's prestigious past in the French aviation industry and the Caudron-Renault Rafale aircraft, which reached a speed of 445 km/h in 1934, grabs attention with its ambitious and characteristic style. While the new Renault Rafale noticeably bears Renault's shaped lines and advanced technological features as the brand's novel design language, it maximizes driving and travel enjoyment with its cutting-edge driving experience.
Owing to its 200 hp e-tech hybrid powertrain, which has proven itself in the renewed Austral model, the new Renault Rafale leaves its mark on the D-SUV segment with its superior performance-efficiency ratio.

A Launch Like the Wind Conducted on the Blue Route with Rafale Blue
The launch of the new Renault Rafale Turkey took place on a wonderful route covering beautiful stops of the Aegean, with the slogan #rüzgarınakapıl (#captivatewithitswind) and a setup including a high-end driving experience. Following the product launch at Selçuk Efes Airport, which was specially organized in the world of Rafale, the new Renault Rafales took the stage on the runway with an impressive show alongside a racing aircraft that was designed in its original colors and emitted the ‘Smoke Oil‘ blue smoke produced exclusively in India for the event, referring to the history of the Caudron-Renault Rafale aircraft in the aviation industry. The keys of the Rafales were delivered to the guests by a professional parachute team that dived with blue flags from the sky. Starting from Selçuk Airport, the test drive continued around Lake Bafa and ended with the Rafale experience offered in Bodrum Xuma Village, which was completely redecorated with the Rafale setup.
Exterior Design: SUV Coupe with Strong Character
The new Renault Rafale developed with the new generation CMF-CD platform differs from its competitors and has a very ambitious design. The slightly raised fastback style places it squarely in the SUV coupé category. While boasting a dynamic and sporty look with its pronounced shoulder line, it makes a strong impression with its mighty front and body proportions.
Rafale's front grille features small diamonds arranged with the 3D design around the central logo, showing a loyal stance in Renault's brand image. The blue background creates an optical illusion depending on the angle of view.

The new Renault Rafale draws attention with its Solarbay automatically opacifying glass roof and OpenR dual-screen multimedia system featuring new graphics. The nine segments of the Solarbay glass roof darken on demand, providing maximum protection from the sun in seconds, with no need for a sun shield. Drivers and passengers can choose between four glass roof opacity levels. The Solarbay roof also minimizes the sauna and icing effects with its multilayer laminated technology. The glass roof darkens automatically when the driver turns off the ignition and leaves the vehicle. When the car is started, the roof returns to its final setting.
Positioned for maximum visibility and convenience, the OpenR screen lets drivers enjoy the OpenR Link multimedia system without taking their eyes off the road. Through the central screen featuring a new graphic interface, each MULTI-SENSE setting gives a unique look with a specific screen, pattern, and colors. The new Renault Rafale is also equipped with a large Head-up Display (9,3 inches). Information including vehicle speed, active driving assistance systems, speed alerts, and navigation data is projected directly onto the windscreen, for optimal visibility in all circumstances.

The new Renault Rafale benefits from all the high-tech features of the CMF-CD platform, from advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to the OpenR Link infotainment system, the most intuitive on the market.
An open-ended system connected to the cloud, OpenR Link automatically integrates the recommended updates using FOTA (firmware over the air) technology. Also, the system can provide information on new parts such as wheel alignment or air-conditioning.
The new Renault Rafale also has various AI-powered functions, contributing to the comfort of both driver and passengers. The new Renault Rafale's 200 hp e-tech full hybrid petrol engine mated to a multimode automatic gearbox sets new standards in its class in fuel consumption (5.0 liters/100 km) and CO2 emissions (107-113 g/km) (WLTP values). It comprises a 3-cylinder 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine developing 130 hp (96 kW) with 205 Nm of torque, and two electric motors. The internal combustion engine enables an outstanding efficiency level of 41%. The main electric motor develops 50 kW (70 hp) power and 205 Nm torque. These motors are powered by a 2 kWh/400V lithium-ion battery. The secondary electric motor works as a 25 kW / 50 Nm high-voltage starter generator (HSG) that starts the engine and manages the gear shifts of the clutchless multimode gearbox.
The all-electric start-up and energy regeneration system, which is automatically activated when the vehicle slows down or brakes, and the e-tech full-hybrid powertrain allow the new Renault Rafale to remain in electric mode for 80% of driving distance in the city. The driver can also contribute to the charging process by selecting one of the four levels of regenerative braking with the buttons on the steering wheel.

The new Renault Rafale, whose fuel consumption level is up to 40% lower than an internal combustion engine with equivalent power, reaches from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds with its 200 hp e-tech full hybrid engine while completing its intermediate acceleration between 80-120 km/h in 5.6 seconds. E-Tech technology delivers one of the best efficiency levels with a fuel consumption of 5 liters /100 km in a WLTP cycle. It provides a total range of over 1,100 kilometers, ideal for long journeys, with its superior fuel efficiency and 55-litre fuel tank. Passengers enjoy advanced driving convenience without charging constraints, enhanced by the customizable MULTI-SENSE settings. The driver can focus on the driving experience with 4-mode MULTI-SENSE settings (steering stiffness, engine response, and chassis agility), which can customize driving characteristics: Eco, Sport, Comfort, and MySense.
