OYAK insures its permanent and temporary members against disability in return for risk premiums allocated from members' monthly contributions. OYAK provides partial or full disability benefits in case of illness or accident, whether incurred on or off-duty. Disability benefits for members below the rank of colonel are calculated at twenty times a colonel's monthly salary. Members of higher rank, including senior colonels, receive 20 times their own monthly salary together with their retirement benefit as one lump sum payment.

A member who acquires due to an accident a permanent but partial disability shall be entitled to a partial disability benefit in accordance with the rates in Armed Forces Mutual Assistance Foundation Match Table.
