  • The number of permanent members exceeded 77 thousand.
  • The 1st Stage of İstanbul-Göztepe housing project was completed and delivered to the members.

1969

  • The technical deficits in the institution were covered within a short period of 8 years and the actuarial profit was achieved for the first time; the dividends were started to distribute to the members over a technical interest rate of 5% as specified in the Law No. 205 according to the method of profit-sharing.
  • The 1st and 2nd Stages of İstanbul-Yenilevent Housing Project were completed and delivered to the members.
  • As the negotiations held with Volvo came to an end negatively, an agreement was reached with the French Renault Group in terms of the production of automobiles, OYAK Renault Otomobil Fabrikaları A.Ş. was established and the phase of construction was initiated for the company.
  • Because of the partnership with Renault, MAİS became the representative of the firm “Regie Nationale Des Usines Renault” in Turkey.
  • OYAK became a partner in Bolu Çimento, Ünye Çimento and Mardin Çimento Companies.

1968

  • The 1st and 2nd Stages of İstanbul-Göztepe housing project were initiated.
  • The first investment of OYAK in the automotive sector was realized and MAİS Motorlu Araçlar İmal ve Satış A.Ş. was established; activities were initiated for the production of automobiles.

1967

  • The 1st and 2nd Stages of İstanbul-Yenilevent housing project were initiated.   
  • OYAK became a partner in TUKAŞ Turgutlu Konservecilik A.Ş., OYAK Sigorta A.Ş. and İleri Kimya A.O.
  • Activities were initiated to make an investment in the automobile sector and a preliminary protocol was signed with the Swedish firm “Volvo”.

1966

  • The first houses constructed in Ankara-Kurtuluş and İstanbul-Mecidiyeköy were delivered to the members. 

1965

  • The number of permanent members exceeded 71 thousand.
  • OYAK became a partner in PETKİM Petrokimya A.Ş.

1964

  • The first OYAK journal aiming to inform the members on activities in a systematic way was published.
  • Ankara-Kurtuluş and İstanbul-Mecidiyeköy housing projects were initiated within the scope of the first houses constructed for the members.
  • Ordu Pazarı - Produce Loan was launched.
  • OYAK became a partner in MAT Motorlu Araçlar Ticaret A.Ş. and TPAO (Turkish Petroleum).

1963

  • The current headquarters building was purchased.
  • The service of housing loan was launched as a social service implementation.
  • Chain stores were launched with Ordu Pazarları which was one of the first and foremost practices in Turkey and the first store was opened in Ankara-Tandoğan.
  • OYAK became a partner in Çukurova Çimento (the current Adana Çimento), HEKTAŞ, Grapette Sodalı İçecekler and TOE Türk Otomotiv Endüstrileri T.A.Ş.
  • A short-term private partnership was established with the firm “Mustafa Tumba”.
  • Partnerships in Ethem Kimya Evi T.A.Ş. and Verdi Ticaret A.Ş. were terminated.

1962

  • The Debt Service was launched as a social service implementation.
  • As of its first Affiliate investment, OYAK became a partner in Goodyear Lastikleri T.A.Ş.

1961

  • OYAK was established with nearly 65 thousand permanent members on March 1, 1961 so as to create an additional social security facility against the social and physical risks which its members might encounter.
  • The technical deficit occurred in the initial establishment due to retrospective service borrowing.
  • Establishment and organization activities were conducted.
  • Talks were held with domestic and foreign institutions so as to identify potential fields of investment.
  • A short-term private partnership was established with Ethem Kimya Evi T.A.Ş. and Verdi Ticaret A.Ş.
